The Institute for Sport Business, part of Loughborough University London, in partnership with the Institute of Sports Humanities (ISH), is offering the Leadership in Sport Scholarship (50% off tuition fees) to black and ethnic minority, care experienced, female applicants, or those with a disability holding offers to the Leadership in Sport MA. (see 2023-24 module and programme specifications - please note that specifications are reviewed annually and therefore are subject to change for 2024-25 Academic Year.)
Our Leadership in Sport MA is a part-time programme designed to nurture and support sport’s current and future leaders – both on and off the pitch, from the sharp end of high performance to the wider perspectives required to understand sport as a whole and its influence on society.
The Leadership in Sport scholarship is part of an initiative to promote equality, diversity, and inclusion of underrepresented groups in the sport industry.
To apply for our Leadership in Sport Scholarship applicants must:
- Be a Leadership in Sport offer holder at Loughborough University London.
- Write a personal statement (ca. 500 words) outlining their interest in the leadership in Sport postgraduate programme, and how the scholarship will help them study for and successfully complete this programme.
Applicants must complete an application form outlining how they meet the criteria.
Key facts
- Award value: 50% off the full cost of tuition fees. We have up to five scholarships to award this year (2024). Scholarship holders must aim to complete the programme within two years.

All applications will be read by the team at Loughborough University London. The award of a scholarship will be based on the applicant's eligibility criteria, personal statement, and entry qualifications.
