The Sky Strategic Leadership MSc Scholarship supports individuals from underrepresented groups in sports leadership by providing 50% off tuition fees for the Strategic Leadership MSc, helping to strengthen diversity and develop future senior leaders.
Eligible programme
Strategic Leadership MSc starting in October 2026 in our Loughborough Business School.
Amount
The scholarship provides 50% off tuition fees for the programme.
The programme has a duration of 24 months, and the scholarship contribution will be allocated as follows:
- 50% of Year 1 tuition fees
- 50% of Year 2 tuition fees
Please note that the remaining 50% of programme fees must be funded by the student or their employer.
Criteria and eligibility
To be considered for the Sky Strategic Leadership MSc Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Offer of admission
Applicants must hold a conditional or unconditional offer for the Strategic Leadership MSc by the deadline specified in the scholarship application timeline. Scholarships will only be formally confirmed once an offer of admission has been made.
Diversity and inclusion criteria
Applicants must demonstrate that they meet the diversity and inclusion criteria agreed between Sky and Loughborough University (Loughborough Business School). These criteria are designed to support individuals from groups underrepresented in sport leadership.
Priority consideration
Priority will be given to applicants who can demonstrate one or more of the following:
- Belong to groups underrepresented in sport leadership, including (but not limited to) individuals from diverse ethnic backgrounds, underrepresented genders, people with disabilities, or those from lower socioeconomic backgrounds.
- Currently hold a leadership or management role, or can demonstrate a clear progression towards a senior leadership position within a sport organisation.
- Have support from their employer, including agreement to meet the co-investment funding requirement.
