Money Saving Tips

For most students, accommodation accounts for the largest portion of their student loan spending. Whilst living in halls is an amazing way to get the full student experience, it is a big financial decision to make. Here are some of our tips to help save money whilst living in university accommodation.

Share a Bathroom

Sharing a bathroom may seem daunting, but you’re probably already used to sharing a bathroom at home! You’ll quickly get to know your new flatmates, and it can save you around £2,000 a year. Find out more here.

Choose a Catered Hall

Are you likely to do a big bulk food shop and make everything from scratch, or do you have habits of buying expensive convenience food?

If you're guilty of splurging on food and drinks, the pre-paid cost of catered accommodation could really help your budgeting. Catered halls are also really sociable and a great way to make friends quickly.

Manage your Budget

From part-time jobs, to online courses around impulsive spending, the university has lots of advice on how to manage your finances whilst living away from home.

Live on Campus

All our Student Accommodation is either on campus or a very short walk away! Save money on public transport as you can walk everywhere, or hop on the free shuttle bus that runs every 10 minutes around campus.
