James is Executive Director of Finance at Loughborough University, leading financial performance and delivery of the University’s financial strategy focused on ensuring the University is financially resilient and sustainable.
James has been the Executive Director of Finance since October 2025, having joined the University in 2019 as the Deputy Director of Finance and taking on a broader role in 2022 as the Director of Finance.
After graduating from Loughborough in 2005, James trained as an accountant in Practice before a brief period in Banking, Commercial Finance roles with Experian plc, and Investor Relations and Financial Planning and Analysis with Dunelm.
