Wellbeing is all about making sure your physical, mental and social needs are met so you can achieve your full potential and be the best you can be. In Organisational Development we offer the following courses which focus on your wellbeing.

Building your own Wellbeing and Resilience

Ensuring a positive relationship between wellbeing, resilience and work performance is valuable in today's challenging and competitive environment. This short, practical course will explore what supports your wellbeing, where you already feel resilient and the type of situations that can undermine your resilience.

Identifying and Managing Stress for Managers and Leaders

This course is exclusively for Managers and Leaders that will enable you to identify the early signs of stress within your team. To give you the tools and techniques to manage your team whilst being mindful of your own wellbeing.

Managing Mental Health in the Workplace for Managers and Leaders

Learn how to recognise when a staff member is struggling and how you can support them professionally as their line manager, in line with Loughborough University guidelines and best practice.

Meditation

Meditation is an experience that can positively impact your overall wellbeing. It’s inevitable to experience stressful moments throughout the day, but it’s how we deal with stressful moments that may be most important.

From technology to work and relationships, there is a never-ending list of things that bombard most of us on a daily basis. A short, calming guided meditation can be incredibly helpful and set up for the day ahead.

This course is available to all staff and bookable via my.hr

Mental Health Aware

Developed by MHFA England, this four hour introductory session aims to raise awareness of mental health. Delegates will gain an understanding of what mental health is and how to challenge stigma. The course gives delegates a basic knowledge of common mental health issues and teaches them how to look after their own mental health and wellbeing.

Mental Health First Aid Briefing

In this short briefing we will go the through the role of a Mental health First Aider, discuss what the courses entail and the support available should you want to become an MHFA.

Anyone can train to become a MHFA, but an interest in mental health and wellbeing is desirable. We will also cover all wellbeing courses available to staff.

Positive Thinking

A Positive Thinking Course Online - to run 4 sessions - once a week for  4 weeks - 45 minutes per session, with an optional 15 minutes of discussion & reflective time, which is available to all staff and is bookable via my.hr.

It will cover:

• Exploring the Mind, Recognising the influences on our thinking, Developing Positive Self -Awareness and Positivity in Action.

• To understand that I can create good thoughts and change negative thoughts patterns.

• Any negativity harms my mind, body, and affects my relationships. i.e. anger.

• Positivity improves concentration levels and sleep is of a better quality.

• I can develop new skills when handling challenging situations and people as I learn to focus on the solution rather than the problem.

• How I think this is linked to my words and actions and so when I think positive it greatly enhances the quality and efficiency of my work life and home life - as they both impact each other.

Springboard Women's Development Programme

This programme gives you the opportunity to take time out to look at your life both personally and at work. It's an opportunity to revisit or even identify your aspirations and dreams but also to recognise your achievements.

Understanding your own Pressure and Stress

This short practical workshop for all staff focuses on finding the balance between pressure and stress, and explores the signs, symptoms and triggers and methods of self-support.
