I chose to study the course at Loughborough due to its reputation for being one of the best courses in the UK for User Experience Design (UX) and its high ranking in the university tables for UX.
The lecturers were extremely knowledgeable and gave me a quality breath of knowledge in User Experience. The modules felt well structured, with each one teaching me new skills. The Design School offers a fantastic space for collaboration and was well utilised where possible.
The course has equipped me with a diverse range of skills, allowing me to operate as a confident UX practitioner within the workplace. I have been able to apply for multiple roles within UX, getting interviews and being offered jobs. The course has helped me significantly build on my practical and interpersonal skills.
My advice to someone considering studying this course would be that if you have minimal knowledge about UX like I did when I started, but the prospect of it excites you, definitely apply. Keep an open mind, as you will be exposed to many different methods and ways of thinking that will help you grow as a person and a practitioner.
Loughborough has inspired me through the people I have met on my course, and both my classmates and lecturers have helped me grow. My best memory at Loughborough was Graduation Day, when all your hard work pays off and you get to celebrate it with your friends.
