Funded by the UK Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council, the Concrete Innovation project explored commercial opportunities for 3D concrete printing using practice-based research methods.

Seven industrial designers worked with civil and mechanical engineers to develop a diverse range of product proposals to exploit the creative opportunities of the freeform manufacturing process. Outputs include seven registered designs, exhibition at the National Centre for Craft and Design (attracting over ten thousand visitors), video, and an International Design Excellence Award.
