Summary of research

Investigating the mechanical properties and characteristics of alternative infills used in the development of new artificial turf systems for their effects on player/surface interactions, overall system performance and safety.

Background and awards and qualifications

Originally from Montoursville, Pennsylvania in the USA. Studied at East Stroudsburg University from 2014-2018 obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Physics. Moved to the United Kingdom in 2020 to pursue a Master of Science in Physics of Materials at Loughborough University graduating in 2021. Held a Research Technician position at Heriot Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland before moving back to Loughborough to study towards a PhD.

Non academic interests

Outside of academia activities include playing/coaching competitive football(soccer) as well playing volleyball, golf, and most other sports at the recreational level. Further interests include running, hiking, skiing. When able to visit the USA, much time is spent building and riding old powersport vehicles such as, dirt bikes, PWCs, and go-karts.
