Loughborough University has been an international pioneer of Sports Technology and Engineering for over 20 years.

It was one of the first universities in any country to offer a sports technology undergraduate programme which has been run continuously since 2000.

The course combines the renowned strengths of the University's Engineering Schools, School of Sport, Exercise and Health Sciences as well as the Sports Technology Institute.

The course is made up of a broad and varied series of modules, specifically designed to educate students in areas of sport, engineering, science, technology and business.

Specialist sports technology modules give students the opportunity to apply learned principles through sports technology projects and laboratory sessions.

Teaching on the course is delivered by expert, specialist staff - many of which are actively engaged in research with major international partners in their subject areas.

Our staff expertise ensures that course content is always up to date and provides graduates with knowledge, skills and experiences that are relevant to the sports equipment industry.
