BEng and MEng courses in Sports Technology
Since 2000, Loughborough University has offered a degree course in Sports Technology. The course, which admits approximately 35 students each year, is a three year programme based within the Wolfson School of Mechanical, Electrical and Manufacturing Engineering.
The Sports Technology course aims to provide students with a broad curriculum focused around sport, design, technology and innovation. In addition to the engineering content, students study modules in the School of Sport and Exercise Science, Business School, Mathematical Sciences, Institute of Polymer Technology and Materials Engineering. Students are equipped with a wide range of technical and transferrable skills from which they are able to develop their own particular strengths and interests.
