Pre-sessional English language programmes

For applicants who do not meet our English language requirements, we run a number of pre-sessional English language programmes designed to improve your English, academic language and study skills. For further information please select the relevant level of study you are wishing to apply for.

Students who complete a Pre-sessional programme are expected to start their degree programme in that same academic year.  Deferring entry to the next academic year is not normally permitted.  If a student does defer their entry, they will be asked to either re-take the Pre-sessional programme (subject to the limit in the Pre-sessional Regulations) or provide an alternative English language qualification.
