Internal Loughborough support

Reasonable adjustments

If you have a disability or long-term health condition that affects your work, you may be entitled to reasonable adjustments, changes to your role, environment or working arrangements that level the playing field. The process starts with a conversation with your line manager or HR.

Access to Work

Access to Work is a government scheme that provides funding for specialist equipment, support workers, mental health support, and work related travel for disabled people. Many colleagues are unaware they are eligible it is worth checking even if your condition seems minor.

Assistive technology

Loughborough IT Services provides a range of assistive software and hardware to support staff with disabilities. This includes screen readers, speech-to-text software, magnification tools and ergonomic equipment loans.

Employee Assistance Programme

The University's Employee Assistance Programme offers free, confidential counselling and support available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It covers mental health, stress, and support for managing long-term conditions.

Campus accessibility

Detailed accessibility information is available for buildings across both the Loughborough and London campuses, including accessible entrances, lifts, quiet spaces, accessible toilets and car parking.
