Whatever the magic ingredient is, we know from conversations with our alumni that the experiences gained at Loughborough, are unique and last a life time. This experience is one we are all proud to give, and one we want all our students to share in fully.
A gift to the Loughborough experience allows us to ensure that there is always resource available to help bolster student experiences by, targeting areas of maximum impact for the benefit of as many students as possible.
Since 2002 we have funded over 200 projects to enhance the Loughborough student experience such as:
- Victim Support Outreach Centre - based at the Students’ Union, the centre ensures there is a strong support system in place in case any students become victims of crime.
- Common Room Refurbishments - thanks to our alumni, grants were awarded to Elvyn Richards, Falkner Eggington, Robert Bakewell and Rutherford halls last year to make essential refurbishments.
- Open Door: Skills for Successful Employment - this joint project between the Counselling and Disability Service and the Careers Network provided workshops and employment advice for disabled students.
