Structural Testing Lab

This is the area of the lab where materials and structural elements are tested to quantify their performance. Depending on the specific requirements, compressive tests can be carried out on concrete cubes and cylinders, flexural tests on prisms, tensile tests on steel rods. Beams, columns and slabs can also be tested at large/full scale, studying the different modes of failure that might occur.
