Estates Management and Sustainability Committee

At the end of the academic year 2024/25, the large remit of Infrastructure Committee was split into two new committees: Estates Management & Sustainability Committee (EMSC) and Information Technology Governance Committee (ITGC). This largely reinstates the arrangements that were in place before Infrastructure Committee was created in academic year 2022/23.

EMSC provides Council and Senate with advice on how to make the best use of the University estate including the procurement, upkeep, management and disposal of land and buildings and associated services, within the contexts of the University's estate strategy, sustainability strategy and long-term strategic plan. It also provides specialist oversight and independent assurance in relation to the development for major strategic estates projects and sustainability initiatives.
