What happens after I get an offer through Clearing?
Results Day can feel hectic, but if you’ve secured a place you’re happy with, take a moment to breathe and celebrate your achievement. At Loughborough, we’re here to help you prepare for what’s next - here are some helpful tips to get started.
1. Check your offer email
Once you receive an offer, you’ll be sent an email with all the details so be sure to check your inbox, including your junk folder.
Your offer will be based on the information you provided to us so check that everything you’ve told us is accurately reflected, including; the course title; your qualifications; and fee status.
If anything looks incorrect, please contact us as soon as possible.
2. Confirm your offer on UCAS
Once you’ve checked all is correct, log in to UCAS and add Loughborough as your Clearing Choice.
You will have three days to decide whether or not you wish to accept your offer, but the earliest you can do this is from 1pm on Results Day (13 August 2026).
If you're still holding a place at another university you will need to decline this on the UCAS Hub in order to accept our offer.
Once you’ve updated UCAS, our admissions team will receive confirmation and update your status to ‘you have been placed’ on the UCAS Hub.
This can take up to 48 hours, while we receive the full details of your application from UCAS, so if your status doesn’t change immediately, please don’t worry. Your place at Loughborough is still secure.
3. Come and meet us on campus
Your offer letter will include an invite to come and visit us on campus. This is your opportunity to see our incredible campus, meet our staff and current students and get a glimpse into student life at Loughborough.
