Loughborough University Choir and Peckleton Church invite you to join them in learning to sing music by Vivaldi and Ivor Novello with a concert at the end of the day.

Registration and rehearsals from 9.30am at Peckleton Church

Singer fee £20 to include music loan for the day (students free)

Bring a picnic and spend a day with Loughborough University Choir to learn and perform Vivaldi’s Gloria plus David Whittle’s rich arrangement of Ivor Novello’s songs, including “Keep the Home Fires Burning” and “We’ll Gather Lilacs”. All singers are welcome, whatever your level of experience.

The concert at the end of the day is part of the summer series of concerts at the church, with tea and cake beforehand. There are no tickets for the concert but audience members are invited to make donations towards the upkeep of the church. Any proceeds from singer bookings after costs are met will also go towards the church.

Toilets facilities are available throughout the day at Peckleton Village Hall (LE9 7RE). There will also be a single accessible portaloo in the car park adjacent to the church. Seating for lunch is in Peckleton Village Hall. Please note that the village hall is a 5 minute walk from the church across a field or via Church Road. If this will cause you difficulty please discuss when you book and we will make every effort to accommodate you.
