Workshop

Get your hands dirty and unleash your creativity at our clay workshop!

*** For Loughborough University students and staff only (plus LAGS members) ***

Discover the art of working with raw clay, coloured slip, and imprinting flora to create personalised plant pots and tile coasters!

Dive into locally dug clay, learn pottery techniques, and imprint foraged flora from the LSU Landscape and Gardening Society (LAGS) Garden. Plus learn wedging techniques, pinch pots, coil building, and more from artist and expert instructor and alumnus Olivia Azzopardi.

The session is inspired by Olivia's clay art installations 'Jam-Tomorrow,' which are nestled in the LAGS Garden. At the end of the session, you are welcome to stick around for tea and a cosy campfire as we reflect on the importance of green communities and ecological responsibility.
