Opportunity for final-year Design and Creative Arts students

We are commissioning a series of video diaries that document students' progress towards the 2026 Degree Show.

Each year we commission final-year students from Loughborough's School of Design and Creative Arts to produce a vlog or video diary documenting your thoughts and progress as you work towards your Degree Show in June.

What are we looking for?

We're looking for at least three final-year students from across the School of Design and Creative Arts. Ideally we would like at least one student from each of the following subject areas: Fine Arts, Graphic Communication and Illustration and Textiles.

These vlogs are an opportunity to showcase your portfolio of work to a wider audience. They will also share the processes involved behind the scenes to put together work for a show like this, showcasing the variety of skills required and the associated workload.

The videos can be filmed on your phone and don’t need to have super high production values, but we would like them to be filmed over the weeks running up to the Degree Show, rather than just being filmed in one go. They should be approximately 5 minutes long - although we may produce shortened edits for use on social media.

The videos will be uploaded to our YouTube channel and shared on social media to help promote the Degree Show and your work to a wider audience. This can help you as you take your next steps on graduating from Loughborough.

How do I get involved?

If you would like to be considered for this opportunity, then please register your interest by completing the online form linked to below.

Deadline for expressions of interest: Monday 16 March 2026 (11pm)

We want to make sure the videos show a variety of different styles and cover as many of the degree courses as possible, so this will be taken into consideration when choosing which students we commission.

What will I get?

If selected, you will be paid £80 on completion of your video.

Your work will be showcased on our website and social media channels and may be used on the University's central channels.

Accessibility

We want this opportunity to be accessible to all students and we welcome interest from students from any background. If you would like to discuss any accessibility issues or may need further support to produce a video diary, then please email LUArts@lboro.ac.uk or call 01509 222948.

Please ensure that you are logged into your University IT account when you try and access the online application form. If the page does not load after several minutes and you can't access it, then you can download and complete the application form below and return it by email to LUArts@lboro.ac.uk. The online form is the preferred method if possible.
