Ecological Creativity Competition
Design a creative workshop to explore ecological issues and bring your idea to life with our help!
About the competition
LU Arts and LSU Community have teamed up to offer students the chance to design a creative workshop exploring ecological issues. Whoever comes up with our favourite proposal will be offered the chance to realise their workshop on campus in the Autumn Term, 2025. There will be a prize of up to £250 for the winner, as well as a budget to deliver the workshop.
Proposed workshops should engage with ecological issues as part of their content, but should also be sustainable themselves. This includes thinking about issues such as material sourcing, waste and power usage. They should be designed to take place on campus, and can be indoors or outdoors. They could engage with existing facilities or features of campus (e.g. gardens or woodland, Fruit Routes, recycling facilities, public transport, cycling facilities), but do not have to.
What can I win?
If you wish to lead the workshop yourself, and have the skills to do this, then you will be awarded a prize of £250. In addition to this we will provide a budget of up to £150 for production/materials costs and guidance to help you deliver your workshop.
If you wish to propose someone else to lead the workshop and deliver your ideas, then you will be awarded a prize of £100, plus we would cover the cost of the workshop leader.
