There was a group of eight who lived together throughout the year. This group included: Josette Cohen, Wendy Holden, Jenny Hamilton, Laureen Bamforth, Julie Bradshaw, Alison James, Claire Willetts and Sandra King.
They embarked on a nostalgic tour of their old halls and departments, reliving the friendships and campus adventures that shaped their student days.
The Falkner Eggington reunion was filled with heartfelt memories and impressive legacies, including a stay in Jenny’s daughter’s student house - she is studying Psychology and Criminology at Loughborough. The group reminisced about their sporting achievements: Jenny played hockey, Josette squash, Alison was a gymnast and lacrosse player, and Julie holds multiple swimming records and is the current Mayor of Loughborough. They also recalled organising the Falk Egg Hall Ball in the mid-80s and serving as Union Reps under the chairperson Steve Duck.
Several members have stayed in touch since their graduation.
We’d love to hear about your Loughborough memories, send us your reunion stories to alumni@lboro.ac.uk.
