Alumnus discovers creative talents after 60

Garry Pierrepont (Data Processing 1980) has shattered stereotypes about creativity and age by uncovering his artistic talents well into his sixties. Despite a career in computing, it wasn't until 2018 that he embraced his creative side.

While heavily involved with Weysiders FC, Garry never considered himself creative. However, rediscovering his love for music with The Serial Thrillers in 2013 sparked a journey of self-discovery.

Exploring literature, painting and baking during the Covid-19 lockdowns, Garry found joy in various forms of expression. As retirement nears, he remains active, contributing to the local music scene and pursuing writing projects.

Garry encourages others to explore their creativity, proving that it is never too late to embark on a fulfilling journey of self-expression.
