Documentary set to follow innovative new treatments

Alumnus Simon Marshall was recently diagnosed with late stage Pancreatic Cancer.

Simon and his wife Lesley Paterson are based in the USA, and the pair have recently won a number of awards for their part in the Netflix film, All Quiet on the Western Front.

Their exciting new careers and lives have taken a pause of late as they have been impacted emotionally, physically, and financially by Simon’s diagnosis.

They are prepared to do whatever it takes, and Simon is undertaking a series of innovative new treatments and therapies.

Whilst they face a very difficult time in their lives, Simon and Lesley will document the journey with the aim of reaching a wide audience to “ignite systemic change in the way we approach the fight against cancer”.

The documentary will be produced by Ondi Timoner.

Simon studied for a PhD in Sport and Exercise Psychology at Loughborough and completed his studies in 2001.
