Lucy Hebden graduated with a BA in printed textiles in 2002 and started her career by teaching art in a local secondary school. After having children, Lucy’s passion for design was reignited and she decided to pursue it.

In her first steps in reconnecting with design, she set up her own design studio ‘Lucy Loves Design’ and started freelancing by creating pattern designs for fashion fabrics, interior products, stationery and more.

In 2021, she was involved in a local sculpture trail for LOROS- Rocket Round Leicester- and submitted a design with all her textile patterns. She was commissioned to paint the rocket that was part of the sculpture trail. Her artwork was auctioned and raised £2,100 for LOROS, a local hospice.

Ever since, she has painted eight sculptures for different charities and has raised almost £20,000 in total. Lucy said: “It is a wonderful job to do something you love and help raise the profile and much needed money for charities.”

Good job and good luck, Lucy!
