Alumna shifts career from economics to acting

Honey Gabriel came to Loughborough to study Economics, and she has always been interested in drama and acting.

She studied drama throughout her time at school but didn’t indulge much in it when she started her journey at Loughborough in 2010.

After graduation in 2013, she went on to work for a consultancy firm with a focus on private equity operations. Alongside her new career, she reconsidered taking acting classes and training courses.

Now working and ready to indulge in her passion, Honey took the opportunity to apply for a two-year diploma at Drama Studio London and was accepted.

Since completing the course, Honey has been working as an actor and voice over artist, including an opportunity to be part of a global commercial and a UK theatre tour.

It is great to hear of career successes and to find out more about how our alumni pursue their passions. We’d love to hear more about alumni who have changed career, and to share advice with fellow alumni who may be considering something similar.
