Vote for alumni shortlisted for the Global Design Graduate Show 2023

A selection of fashion designs for luxury womenswear by Peace Rodliff.

Peace Rodliff and Ellen Callaghan have been nominated by experts in the art industry for the Global Design Graduate Show 2023 in collaboration with Gucci. It is an opportunity for artists to share their creative work alongside peers from around the world and get it judged by industry leaders.

There are many categories featured in the show including visual communication, film, fashion, textiles, interior, architecture, visual arts, contemporary craft, industrial and product design, and more, with many industry specialists judging the initiative.

Peace Rodliff, who graduated with a B.A in Textiles: Innovation and Design took part in the competition to showcase a collection of designs for luxury womenswear that seeks to discover the effect of migration on print design and fashion choices, and celebrates the diversity in those choices.

Ellen Callaghan graduated with a B.A in Industrial Design and Technology and entered the show with ‘Rae’, an at home cervical screening device. Regular cervical screening can prevent cervical cancer, however due to the nature of the current screening process, many women choose not to get their checks. However, Rae has provided a more comfortable solution to get the tests done at home to avoid awkwardness and discomfort.

The public vote for the competition is now open, and you can take part in voting up until Wednesday 11 October, and winners will be announced on Monday 16 October.

We wish both Peace and Ellen the best of luck with the competition!
