Alumnus running 24 miles in 24 hours

Jamie Williamson with brother Matthew

Jamie Williamson is setting out on a challenge to run a mile an hour for 24 hours in aid of Worldwide Cancer Research.

Alongside his brother Matthew, Jamie will run 24 miles in 24 hours this June with the aim of raising money to support cancer research.

Their father, Graham was diagnosed with stage 4 malignant melanoma cancer in 2019. Having undergone treatment, Graham is now in remission, and the brothers are wanting to give back and support others having experience with cancer now and in the future.

They are aiming to raise €2,400 for Worldwide Cancer Research and they are also inviting people to take part in running a mile alongside them.

Jamie graduated with degrees in BSc Sport Management in 2019 and an MSc Marketing in 2022.
