To celebrate the launch of Showstopping Cakes, Rahul is doing a book signing event on campus on 4 November 2022 from 3:30pm.
The event will take place in EHB on the Loughborough University campus and guests are invited to meet Rahul, purchase a copy of his new book, and to watch a cake decorating demonstration!

In his new book, Rahul shares his scientific knowhow on achieving sublime bakes – as well as advice on how to fix things when they go wrong. Featuring everything from mirror glaze, meringue, genoise and caramel to drip, fault-line and geode cakes, these are jaw-droppingly beautiful bakes that will wow family and friends every time.
The Bake Off winner found his passion for baking when he moved to the UK from Kolkata for his studies, aged 23. He graduated from Loughborough with a PhD in Optical Engineering in 2015 and he attributes some of his best memories of Loughborough to his time as a member of the Landscape and Gardening Society (LAGS).
Showstopping Cakes will be available to purchase at the event from retailer Waterstones. RRP is £26. Payment will be taken by card only.
