Alumnus has Travel Risk Management ISO published

Rico Luzzi’s interest in travel risk management standardisation began in 2015 while completing his dissertation, Flying by the Seat of their Pants, which highlighted the general immaturity of travel risk management and the immediate market need for standardisation on the topic.

After graduating, the alumnus worked to produce the first UK based Travel Risk Management standard (BSI PAS 3001:2016). The standard was well received, and the risk management committee proposed the development of a global standard to the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).

Rico worked within an ISO group of representatives and standardisation experts to get the new global standard through to publication in October 2021. The work - Travel Risk Management - ISO 31030 - took three and a half years to produce.

Rico Luzzi graduated with a masters degree in Security Management in 2015.
