We would like to wish a Merry Christmas to everyone celebrating over the next couple of weeks.

Each year we send a season’s greetings message to alumni and supporters, and this year’s card was designed by 2022 Graphic Communication and Illustration graduate, Iona Campbell.

Iona came to Loughborough from the Netherlands with a passion for the arts and a talent on the hockey pitch. She was a recipient of a sports scholarship during her studies, representing Loughborough and England in hockey.

This support helped her to make the most of everything on offer to her as a student and in driving forward her skills in GB and England training camps.

Also focused on her academic studies, she designed the image for the Christmas card during her final year, having gained a raft of digital skills on her course within the School of Creative Arts. She said:

“This design was inspired by the beautiful Hazlerigg building on campus and speaks to the liveliness and unity of the Loughborough family.”

Thank you to Iona for this year’s lovely design, helping us to bring special wishes for Christmas and the new year to our alumni and friends.
