Alice Burnhope, a 2020 BA Textiles: Innovation and Design graduate, has launched a new community for sewers to unite.

Click ‘n’ Sew invites artists to share craft skills online, and is accessible to everyone, whether you’re a beginner or an intermediate crafter.

Alice will be running one workshop per month and one monthly Instagram live conversation with artists and small businesses, exploring creative practice and the industry.

Inspired by an online webinar curated by Fashion Open Studio and Fashion Revolution, Alice wanted to pursue the idea of designing innovative ways of utilising preloved clothes. With an existing passion for sustainability and rethinking waste, the new online community was born.

The alumna is a multi-disciplinary textile designer and Sarabande scholar, and she has recently been selected for 'Make It at Cockpit Arts 2021'. She is now based at Cockpit Arts Deptford Studios.
