Ian Parker is part of the team organising The Great Race 2021, a competition for human-powered aircraft to race across the English Channel.

Ian graduated from Loughborough with a degree in Ergonomics in 1979, but it was attending a lecture in 1976 on human-powered aircraft that led to a life-long interest in the subject.

The Great Race 2021 will see pilots fly across the English Channel. The race marks 60 years since the first human-powered aircraft “SUMPAC” took to the sky.
