Alumnus David Stretton-Downes is a serial entrepreneur and adventurer. In his latest venture, David has co-founded BOBBIE’s Brownies with the aim of becoming a household name in the UK chocolate brownie market.

The idea for BOBBIE’s came about in 2016 and it came to life in 2021 – a time when more people were having things delivered direct to their door.

With a clear mission, BOBBIE’s aims to craft big brownies with fine ingredients, whilst playing a part in ending child hunger.

BOBBIE’s has partnered with Mary’s Meals to create positive impact through the sale of brownies. For every sale, a meal is donated via Mary’s Meals.

David, who graduated from Loughborough in 2010 with a degree in Product Design and Technology, said:

“We are passionate about creating sustainable culture, product and community that not only has a decedent, enjoyable taste, but also creates a huge impact to many across the globe.”

BOBBIE’s recently had a pop-up shop for two weeks in July in Angel, London.
