Giving to Loughborough
Donations to support innovative learning will support wide-ranging campus facilities, resources and projects that continue to ensure that the Loughborough learning experience remains top of its class.
Projects made possible with alumni support
STEMLab is allowing us to develop new courses to train future scientists and engineers in the disciplines of tomorrow.
Professor Rachel Thomson
Recent developments made possible with the support of alumni include a new state of the art learning facility – STEMLab which opened in 2017.
STEMLab is a £17 million investment in new state-of-the-art laboratory facilities, and part of a wider £25 million investment in the West Park of campus which includes an adjacent student learning and teaching hub. It contains new engineering, physics, chemistry, materials and bio laboratories forming a truly cutting-edge learning facility.
These outstanding new facilities offer students new ways to learn and collaborate, for example a ‘drop-in’ engineering workshop, alongside teaching laboratories, workshops, computer-aided design and rapid prototyping facilities, a design studio and informal learning spaces.
Looking to the future
The University is looking to deliver new facilities for future generations of Loughborough students with development of new and improved halls of residence on campus as well as planning for a new student facilities. By donating today you can help to ensure that Loughborough can plan for innovations in learning that will shape careers and ultimately, the impact they will have on society.
