Duplicate degree documents and proof of study

Do you need a duplicate degree certificate or transcript, or are you looking for a proof of study letter for a workplace or university? Find out more below.

Duplicate degree certificates

Your university degree certificate is an educational credential which represents the completion of your course.

Certified copies of your Loughborough University degree certificate can be purchased via the online store.

Duplicate degree transcripts

Degree transcripts list the modules you undertook during your degree and the marks you received.

Duplicate copies can be bought online for those who graduated after 1996 (if you graduated in 1995 or earlier, you will need to contact the academic department at which you studied).

Please note that new certificates and transcripts will usually take 2-3 weeks to be delivered to a UK destination, and 4-6 weeks to be delivered internationally.

If you have special requirements, for example you would like a transcript to be sent to World Education Services in Canada or the USA, please note this in the additional information section of your order and email instructions/the accompanying paperwork to graduation@lboro.ac.uk.

Proof of study

Student Enquiries can provide a range of letters confirming your attendance, proof of student status and confirmation of study here at Loughborough. If you need a confirmation of your studies from the university, please contact Student Enquiries on studentenquiries@lboro.ac.uk.

Standard letters include your name, mode of study (e.g. full-time or part-time), dates of study, title and award of programme and the official University stamp.

You can also request a non-standard letter with additional information included, and in this case are advised to email Student Enquiries well in advance.

Third party degree verification

We are pleased to announce as of 9 March 2021 Loughborough University will only accept Third party degree verification requests via the Hedd (Higher Education Degree Datacheck) online verification service.

The online candidate verification service allows registered enquirers to input data provided by applicants (name, date of birth, institution, year of graduation, qualification classification etc).

How to register

The enquirer will need to register with Hedd by visiting www.hedd.ac.uk. Select ‘Loughborough  University from the list of UK higher education institutions and choose the option to 'verify a degree award'. There is a charge of £12 per enquiry. The enquirer will also be required to upload a consent form. For further assistance, enquirers should email heddhelp@prospects.ac.uk.

Making an enquiry

Enquirers will need the individual’s name, date of birth, course and qualification. For graduates enquirers also need their year of graduation and degree result.

We recommend that enquirers ask to see the degree certificate, if there is one, and use that as the basis of a verification enquiry, or ask individuals to provide their data as they believe it is recorded in our student records system. If the information submitted is an exact match to the information held within the student record, the request will be automatically verified. If the information does not match all fields, then the enquiry will passed to our Student Enquiries team for manual verification.
