Any member wishing to unstar an item for

3. Minutes
To confirm, subject to any correction, the Minutes
of the meeting held on 13 October 2005.
4. Matters Arising from the Minutes
*4.1 To
note that, with two exceptions (see items 6 and 7), all recommendations to
Learning and Teaching Committee, and subsequently to Senate where appropriate,
were approved, and to note the relevant minutes of Senate.
*4.2 Minute
05/38.3 – BS/MComp(DPS) Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence: New
Programme Proposals
To
note that Computer Science has decided not to proceed with the proposal to
suffix ‘with Industrial Experience’ to the above programme title
and that of other sandwich programmes in the Department. There was insufficient
evidence that changes of title would have a positive impact on application
numbers.
*4.3 Minute 05/41 – Completion of Consultation Forms for New
Programme Proposals
(a) To note the revised consultation form

note that the Autumn 2006 meeting of the committee will be scheduled a week
later than the Autumn 2005 meeting.
*4.4 Minute
05/46 – MRes Proposals
To note that Senate has approved criteria for
the award of Master of Research as recommended by Learning and Teaching
Committee and that Council has approved the addition of the award to Ordinance
IV.
4.5 Any
other matters arising not appearing elsewhere on the Agenda.

5. Placement Modules
Further to
minute 05/40 of the previous meeting:

5.1 To
receive samples of transcripts for students who have/have not successfully
completed their placement.
5.2 To
consider a proposal to make clear in the title of placement modules, as appropriate,
that no credit is awarded e.g. ‘Industrial Training Placement (DIS award,
non-credit bearing)’.

5.3 To
receive from the AD(T)s examples of placement modules in their Faculty, and to
consider whether the assessment on these modules tests Intended Learning
Outcomes.
6. MSc Construction Project Management (Work-based DL): New Programme Proposals

Teaching Committee’s discussion on the proposal.
