Softball and Baseball

Softball and Baseball at Lougborough allows you to compete for the university or play for your hall.

Athletic Union Club

Our club has a successful history having won the National University Softball Championship and the National University Baseball Championship on multiple occasions.

We have many different teams to suit different abilities, but most of our teams usually train three times per week. Each session has a different focus in order to keep the sessions fun and effective.

Our teams compete in many different competitions throughout the year. These include the National University Softball and Baseball Championships, the East Midlands Indoor Softball League, the East Midlands Invitational Championships and the Northern University Baseball League, among many others. The latter was actually created by the Club President Luke Stott in 2015. It aims to promote links between local Universities, encourage development of University baseball, and acts as a facilitator of inter-University competition.

How to join

For more information on how to join our club, come and visit us at the Loughborough University Sports Bazaar on campus on Saturday 30th September 2023.

Hall sport (IMS)

You can compete in softball for your halls of residence in Intramural Sport (IMS) in competitions throughout the year.

It's a great way to get involved in hall life and meet new people in a more social and less competitive environment.
