Criminology and Sociology students awarded prizes at Graduation

Last week, our 2023 Criminology, Sociology and Social Policy cohort graduated and enjoyed a brilliant day on campus celebrating with friends, family, and staff members from our School.

During the day, prizes were handed out to students that excelled during their time studying our Criminology, Sociology and joint honours programmes. Prizes were awarded to:

  • Eleanor Johnson - School of Social Sciences and Humanities Community Prizes: Criminology, Sociology and Social Policy: Part C
  • Elena Godwin - Professor Albert Cherns Memorial Prize: Criminology and Sociology
  • Jessica Metson - Professor Albert Cherns Memorial Prize: Criminology and Sociology
  • Naomi Catherall - Professor Albert Cherns Memorial Prize: Sociology and Media

Awarded annually to the student achieving the highest mark in the dissertation module. The Professor Albert Cherns Memorial Prize takes the form of a certificate and a £50 Amazon voucher. Professor Cherns was the founding Head of the Department of Social Sciences at Loughborough University and the prizes are presented each year at a reception held for graduates and their guests following the summer degree ceremony.
