Accredited by the Joint Board of Moderators (JBM), which includes the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), the Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE), the Institute of Highway Engineers (IHE), the Permanent Way Institution (PWI), and the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation (CIHT), on behalf of the Engineering Council. It fully satisfies the educational requirements for Chartered Engineer (CEng) registration.

It is also accredited by the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) as fully meeting the educational base for Chartered Engineer (CEng) status.

In addition, the degree is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB).
