Welcome to The Holt
Situated approximately a 10-minute walk from the centre of campus and a 15-minute walk from the town centre, The Holt is off Forest Road on the East side of campus. The Holt is redeveloped accommodation, owned and managed by our partners, Unite Students. The Old Holt is a listed Victorian mansion around which the development was constructed.

Any other plans circulating around Hall of Residence Welcome Week should not be considered as official. Please contact your Hall Committee using social media links provided below if you are unsure or have any questions.

Tuesday 22 September
Move In
Our committee will introduce you to our hall in our common room, where you will bring your passport/birth certificate to collect your student ID upon arrival to The Holt. After this, you’ll receive your room keycard, and can start moving in with the help of our committee and welcome week helpers

Warden Introduction (Mandatory)
We will meet outside The Holt H Block (where reception and the common room is) and walk over to the mandatory welcome induction.

Come to the common room in your welcome t-shirt (that you will receive on move-in day) to enjoy music from Emerging Beats

Wednesday 23 September
"Your Path" Training (Mandatory)
Meet outside The Holt H Block to walk to the mandatory training.

Glowfest (Casual sports event)
As part of Welcome Week, students are invited to join Glowfest - a unique UV-themed sports event designed to bring people together in a fun, inclusive environment.

Campus Walks
Meet outside The Holt H Block to embark on a walk around Loughborough University’s Campus - an introduction to key places, with tips from students about how to navigate campus

Tote Bag Painting (with Elvyn hall)
Either meet us at Elvyn Richards’ common room, or walk over with us from The Holt, to paint tote bags in the Student Village

Meet outside H Block at 11am to walk over to the Sports Bazaar, where you will be introduced to all the sports clubs and teams that Loughborough has to offer - it is what we’re known for!
