Two User Experience Design students are finalists at the IxDA 2021 Student Design Charette

The IxDA Student Design Charette (SDC) champions the next generation of interaction design, by bringing together students and early professionals to tackle big challenges. Samantha Tung and Tara Janes, both MA User Experience Design students at Loughborough University have been selected as finalists and will be joining eight other successful students at the SDC.

The brief focuses on our data and global wellbeing and teams are challenged to explore issues of global health and wellbeing, identify interesting or provocative use cases, and design for the outcomes our 21st century world demands, through transparent, empowered, participation with data.

This year, along with the conference, the SDC has been moved online, giving students from around the world the chance to work together for a longer period. The event will kick-off virtually on the 9 December, with mentor workshops and final presentations taking place in January. The winning team will then be announced on the 5 February during the Interaction21 conference.

Congratulations to Samantha and Tara! We look forward to seeing their outcomes from the brief.
