The Loughborough University funded Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) brings together a collaboration of creative disciplines across the University to tackle homelessness.

The Supervisory Team is drawn from Loughborough University’s School of Design and Creative Arts, School of Architecture, Civil and Building Engineering and the Institute of Design Innovation at Loughborough University London. They will combine creative approaches in a transdisciplinary way from design, creative arts, innovation, urban planning, disaster risk management and architecture.

The research will use empathic and creative methods to understand the experiential notions of homeliness and the conditions of homeliness linking to wellbeing and innovation in service design, housing design and policy. HOME will tackle different aspects of homelessness including Loss of HOME, Reconstructing HOME, Transient HOME, Adaptable HOME and Homely HOME.
