Ria Mathieson

Ria joined the technical team in 2007, in the Print, Stitch and Dye Hub. As technical instructor she teaches workshops to the Textiles ID programme and supports all academic and research activity in the Hub. The dedicated textiles technical staff were recently recognised with the ‘Best technical team’ Papin Award at the Higher Education Technicians Summit.

Graduating from Loughborough with a degree in Printed Textiles, Ria continues to develop her practice in print and painting. She coordinated the workshop ‘Paper, wood, veneer’ that explores the printing and finishing processes when printing on to hard and non-porous surfaces.
