Profile

I support the learning and teaching of students across the School of Design and Creative Arts (SDCA) within the areas of Electronics Technology and Embedded Systems. I'm a practical person with a keen interest in problem based learning and how that can be applied to support the development of the next generation of designers.

After graduating with a masters in Electronic and Electrical Engineering, I obtained a PhD in medical physics from the University of Nottingham. I then spent 2.5 years as a research fellow developing methods for measuring brain function. I then spent 5 years before coming to SDCA as a technical tutor looking after the physics labs and supporting the teaching in STEMLab.

Outside of SDCA I am a keen badminton player and I also sit on the East Midlands Branch Committee of the Institute of Physics.
