Busra graduated from the Graphic Design department at Kutahya Dumlupinar University in Turkey Then, she completed her master's degree in the same department and at the university. In 2014, she got the Turkish governmental scholarship for Postgraduate Education. She graduated from the University of Southampton Winchester School of Art in MA Communication Design, in 2018.

Thesis title: Designing for Behaviour Change in Domestic Food Waste Practices.

Busra's principle research activities and interests include user experience design and mobile app interface design, design for sustainable behaviour, communication design and media.

The research focus is domestic food waste in the UK, specifically contribute to this field and provide a better understanding of how the intentions and practices regarding food waste reduce food waste is made. What factors are playing a role when it comes to this intention and practises? The research will explain why people waste food at home, where it occurs, what factors cause food waste, and the role of Design for Sustainable Behaviour in reducing food waste.
