Dr. Parker is the Programme Leader for the MSc in User Experience Design (UX) and a Chartered Human Factors Specialist. He holds the distinction of being a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. At Loughborough University, Dr. Parker lectures in UX Design and has an extensive international teaching portfolio, including positions at prestigious Chinese institutions such as Zhengzhou University, Beijing Normal University, and the Central Academy of Fine Arts.

His research is at the forefront of exploring the intersection between human emotion and complex technology. He specializes in collaborative design involving diverse stakeholders, with a particular emphasis on developing sustainable future flight technologies.
