Nicci Haynes

Nicci Haynes, originally from the UK, practices as an artist and works in the Printmedia and Drawing workshop at the Australian National University.

Nicci’s performative video works developed from prints and drawings with language and communication as a recurring theme. As the work became increasingly gestural and performative it migrated from paper, onto costumes, then to performance with both forms coalescing in video. Nicci currently integrates drawing, collage and projection in improvised performances with poets, dancers and musicians with interdisciplinary communication being the backdrop.
