Katherine joined Loughborough Business School in March 2022 as a Senior University Teacher. Her background is as an accountant in practice, having trained as an auditor with a large accounting firm and, after achieving the ACA chartered accountant qualification, working as a financial reporting specialist for a number of years.

Since transferring to academia in 2014, Katherine has developed and taught a variety of modules in financial accounting and reporting, and audit.

In August 2022, Katherine took on the role of Director of Teaching Enhancement for the School, with a remit to identify and share best practice in teaching as well as to undertake projects for the improvement of teaching and learning within the School.

Katherine has a keen interest in the scholarship of teaching and learning. She has presented on the topics of gathering student perspectives on assessment and providing individual feedback to students on exams.

Katherine is a qualified ICAEW chartered accountant, and continues to engage with the profession. She is also a fellow of Advance HE, and regularly attends teaching-related events and conferences.
