Professor Robert Davison is a Professor in the Department of Information Systems at City University of Hong Kong. Since 1998, he has received approximately $5.3million in grants as PI. Since 1993 he has published in excess of 200 academic articles. His research has been cited in SCI/SSCI over 1,300 times (H=20), in Scopus over 2,250 times (H=26) and in Google Scholar over 6,000 times (H=40).

His current research focuses on knowledge seeking and sharing activities in Chinese SMEs. Robert is Programme Leader of the MSc in Electronic Business and Knowledge Management. He teaches Global IS, Knowledge Management and Qualitative Research Methods at postgraduate level.

Professionally, Robert serves as the Editor-in-Chief of both the Information Systems Journal and the Electronic Journal of Information Systems in Developing Countries. He is also the Chair of the IFIP WG 9.4 (Social Implications of Computers in Developing Countries). Robert is a founding member of the Association for Information Systems, of which he is also the Chair of the Research Conduct Committee.
