The Loughborough Full-time MBA made the largest improvement in the Corporate Knights 2026 Better World MBA Ranking Top 40, increasing by 25 places from the 2025 edition and moving from 39th to 14th overall.
The Better World MBA Ranking evaluates 166 MBA programmes worldwide based on the sustainability content of their core courses, their alumni impact, and the number of recent graduates employed by impact organisations.
Programmes were scored on two indicators: the proportion of core (mandatory) courses integrating sustainable development themes (80%), and the share of 2024–2025 alumni working at impact organisations; non-profits; Corporate Knights Global 100 and Clean 200 companies; and companies earning more than half their sales from solutions to social or environmental problems, or in sustainability-related roles (20%).
Toby Heaps, CEO of Corporate Knights, said: “Corporate Knights research shows sustainable revenue at the world’s largest companies grew more than twice as fast as the rest of their revenue over the past five years.
“This year we doubled the weight on where graduates actually work, because the real test of a business school is whether its alumni go on to build that economy.”
Professor Jan Godsell, Dean of Loughborough Business School, said: “I am incredibly proud that the Loughborough Full-time MBA programme has once again demonstrated its sustainable, responsible and ethical management credentials in this year’s Better World MBA ranking.
“The significant rise from 39th to 14th in this year’s rankings is a testament to both the hard work of our programme staff, who are committed to implementing our purpose-led ethos into the MBA curriculum, and our fantastic alumni, who continue to inspire us by making a positive impact on our communities and the planet.”
The 2026 MBA ranking assessed 166 MBA programs worldwide. Every business school in the most recent Financial Times Global MBA ranking, The Princeton Review’s Best Green MBA list, the 2025 Better World MBA Top 40 and all current PRME Champions was automatically included; schools accredited by AMBA, AACSB or EQUIS were invited to opt in.
